Programs

Hawk Meadow Montessori School offers the following programs:

• Toddler (18 months to three years)
• Primary (three to six year-olds)
• Lower Elementary (six to nine year-olds)
• Upper Elementary (nine to twelve year-olds)
• Middle School
• Summer Program

In addition to the Montessori curriculum, the children take part in three supplementary specials:

• Institute for Music & Health - an outreach program
• Los Años Verdes - instruction in Spanish
• Stretch ‘n’ Grow - an indoor exercise and nutrition program

Regular school hours at Hawk Meadow Montessori School are 9am to noon for half-day students, and 9am to 3:30pm for full-day students. All of our programs are five-day-weeks and we offer five half days, five full days, three full and two half days, or two full and three half days.

Students enrolled in the primary, elementary and middle school programs at Hawk Meadow are also able to attend before and after-care at the school. The before-school program runs from 7:30am to 9am, and the after-school program begins at dismissal time (3:30pm) and lasts until 6pm.

Curriculum

In every Montessori classroom, there are four main curriculum areas:

• Practical Life
• Sensorial
• Math
• Language

These areas are supplemented by music, art, Spanish, geography and culture, as well as any themes introduced by the teacher or requested by the children themselves.
